Thomas Hollingsworth, D.C.
Clinic Director
Dr. Tom Hollingsworth has been an honors graduate of every institution he has attended. In addition to earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the first and largest chiropractic school in the world (Palmer College of Chiropractic-Davenport, Iowa), he has earned several other post-doctoral credentials. He attained Board Certification in Atlas Orthogonal chiropractic technique from Sherman College in South Carolina, is an advanced graduate of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego where he studied personal injuries in great detail in the spine and brain traumatology program, and defended his thesis at Parker University to enter the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers.
Dr. Hollingsworth spends much time and effort in service to others. He has served in many capacities in the Texas Chiropractic Association (multiple committees, expert testimony in courts as well as both chambers of the Legislature, Chairman of Education for 6 years and Chairman of Legal Affairs for more than a decade) where he is currently the senior member on its board of directors representing the interests of his South Texas colleagues and their patients from Port Lavaca over to Laredo and down to Brownsville.
When not involved in health care matters, Dr. Hollingsworth remains involved in his local Corpus Christi community as well. He has served the Flour Bluff Business Association as both a board member and its treasurer. He has been a very active member of the church he attends where he has led adult Bible class, youth chorus, and serves as worship director usually in some capacity of the music ministry.
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Hollingsworth "has a past" as a professional musician and teacher. He still enjoys the performing arts whether in the audience or onstage, and occasionally teaching anatomy and physiology as an adjunct professor when local colleges need a section covered.
But he gets the most joy seeing his three children become distinct individuals blazing their own paths. With three Congressional nominations for both West Point and the USAF Academies, Dr. Hollingsworth's son recently completed his undergraduate studies and is commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. His older daughter served as a governor of Texas-Oklahoma in her service organization while in high school, and she is just graduated with a double major in accounting and business management. And his "baby girl" is no longer a baby, but was a fiercely competetive high school athlete only following big brother and sister in getting high marks in class who now is pursuing her own career in health care.
